The Palm Tree
Ps.92:7, 12
Romans used its leaves for victory. People did for Jesus’ coming into Jerusalem. People in heaven as well It doesn’t burn, it’s always green. Symbol of beauty
Righteous must be planted for them to flourish God plans house with palms not grass. You’re planted, stop changing locations Flourish not just survive even in desert, your roots are connected to God
Palm trees are usually planted in the sand not forest Circumstances don’t determine if you will flourish your relationship with God is The source of your blessing is not soil but God Seasons will change but your faith in God does not. Joseph had 4 coats but his faith was the same
Palm tree breaks the bands Other trees let robes grow into it, but as palm tree grows, it breaks the chains Ropes don’t have to break you, you can break off them. Chains to limit you Don’t allow chains to become part of you, anointing breaks the yoke, chains must be broken, not grafted into you Keep growing in the Lord, you will break them. Chicken in the egg, one day chicken outgrows the egg Lazarus had grave clothes, God gave you new clothes. Don’t walk with fig leaves be free
Palm tree withstands abuses Core is the strength of the palm tree not the bar. Offended easily, quickly hurt, treated unfairly, overlooked, neglected Joseph’s bar was totally cut off, he flourished. David didn’t die Live life from inside out, not outside in. Samaritan woman was getting water in, Jesus said My river will flow out Where is his strength lives in? As long as your joy lies in something that can be taken, you’re in danger of losing it Boats don’t sink by going through water but by letting water get in them
Palm tree bends but doesn’t break during the storm Storms are unavoidable. Comes to wise and foolish. Unemployment, disappointment, break up, illness, accident, limitation Don’t fear the storm, fear prayerlessness and unbelief. Job bend during his storm When you bend, you wouldn’t break This storm will pass, and you will rise up again
The older the palm tree the sweeter it’s fruit World’s system is from gold to dirt, God’s system is from dirt to gold. From glory to glory What He started He will finish. Alpha and Omega. Beginning of Jesus’ ministry great fish and end With time you’re becoming sweeter or more bitter? Fire in the beginning has flames but later it’s hot. Hype in youth, but hot & holy in old age If you remember when you loved God more than today, you have backsliden
