Giant Killer
1 Samuel 17:42-43
If you run from a fight, you run from victory Victory is not a gift, it only follows a fight. Freedom is free not victory. Mess=Message; Fire=Passion; Test=Testimony Running from a Goliath will not make him disappear David ran to the Goliath, the army ran from him. God fights when you don’t run Only battle God asked us to run from is lust, not Satan! Go through your vallies, fire, wildnerness. Don’t run from it. Go through the cross don’t run from it!
Refuse to fight battles that hold no spoil When you don’t fight giants, you will end up fighting brothers God has not anointed you to win battle with people. Not given you authority over people. Jesus was silent! Not every battle is worth fighting WHAT WILL I GET IF I WIN THIS BATTLE? WHAT WILL I LOSE? You can always whip a skunk, but is the small worth the fight
Faith for present battle is found in past victories When you walk through the lowest point of your life, pick up stones, you will need it for future (JOSHUA) Remember what God has done instead of what you have not done (BOAT) Seed for tomorrow’s harvest is found in yesterday’s fruit. This miracle should not be the last (APPLE)
You can’t have public victory with private defeat God allows lions to prepare for giants, you’re not spiritually weak, but because your chosen (fire through fire) Jesus fought with lions before He faced giants Don’t let lions live off your sheep. David learned not how to not to lose sheep but to show to get them back Men don’t drown by falling into water but by staying there. Winning in basketball is scoring more than enemy Good shepherd is not someone who doesn’t lose but those who go after it…even Jesus loses sheep! You can’t learn not to fail, but learn to get up – repent
If the enemy can’t make you aware of how big he is, he will make you aware of how small you are Looking back (eyes, pillar), looking around (waves), look at him (fear), look at yourself He wants to you to see yourself, so that you can defeat you with him fighting you Compare problem with promise, not problem with you! Look to Jesus not to yourself!!! If you think you’re worthless, it’s because you look at yourself not Jesus!
