PROBLEM WITH PHARAOH
Exodus 14:21--28
OPPRESSION Pharaoh saw himself as god – he oppressed people. He sought Moses in trouble Bonds of wickedness. Whoever does sin is slave of sin. Slaves don’t stay in the house. Honesty is first step Grave clothes – clothes of righteousness. Don’t look back having your hands on the plow. Lot’s wife. Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future New creation, former things have passed away…MY PAST IS OVER. I’M NEW CREATION KILLED THEIR FRUIT He killed new born babies. Be midwife who refused to kill babies – God will prosper you. God’s plan for be fruitful and multiply didn’t change. Enemy is after your fruit – joy, freshness, dream, vision Ps.92. Old age – fruitful, fresh and flourishing. The more they were afflicted they more they multiplied. PAIN WOULD NOT STEAL MY FRUIT, FRESHNESS YOU DIE BY YOUR OWN SWORD God drowned Pharaoh in the sea, because he used to drown babies in the sea. Saul died by his own sword If you sown apple seed, you will reap apples unless you repent. Jesus said you will die Seed at first shows nothing. Sin at first is profitable like a bait but there is chain. Sword with blood Repentance is the ax to the root of the tree. If it’s not applied, you will eat of the fruit of your actions God finds no pleasure in the death of the sinner…it pleased God to bruise Him, Jesus GOD FINDS NO PLEASURE IN PUNISHING ME, GOD FINDS PLEASURE IN FORGIVING ME
OPEN DOOR WAS A TRAP God will make a way where there is no way – Abraham, Mary, Zachariah, David, Joshua – Jesus is the way Pharaoh was led by his sight, Israel was led by His Spirit – don’t be led by your sight Joshua was lead by his reason, first time he was led by God’s Spirit – lean not on your understanding Abimelech was lead by what Abraham, but then what God has said – lead by what Spirit is saying Wise men were almost led into the Red Sea – don’t be deceived with open Sea Joseph was led by God into marriage, protected from attack – protection in following God’s voice
Protection from hidden traps – relationships, finances (deliver us from evil one, lead us not into temptation) Break bonds of wickedness Year of fruit, freshness, and flourishing
