Don’t Settle In The Place of Your Celebration
Mark 8:22-26
Measuring to our past or measuring to our promise. Where we are coming from or where we are going Champions are those who look to the promise not past, not present, or not problem
Blind man – celebrate partial but expect complete. Don’t settle in the place of your celebration Angels celebrate. God celebrated God is not done with you. Compete miracle belongs to us, not partial…LOOK UP, not BEHIND
At your first attempt to be free, it will get worse (nothing is discouraging, worse is depressing) God reminds of His PROMISE (no circumstances), His PRESENCE (not just problems), and His POWER (your only source) Lazarus got sick, and died. Joseph (promise was close so was presence)
Short relief. Don’t settle for temporary deliverance. Free indeed! Sacrifice here (8:25). You can’t serve God fully in enemy’s land
Sacrifice in wilderness, not very far (8:25-28). Enemy can’t tell us how far we can go. Not separation, divorce
Men only, let woman and children stay (10:8-11). Me & my house! Who are willing to let Satan keep? We are willing to walk away alone? Rahab took her family in her house! Something better than nothing?!
Flocks, herds be kept back – to serve God with (10:24-26). Give it, sacrifice it, not leave it with Pharaoh. Don’t leave with him what belongs to God. Wealth of the wicked stored for righteous!
Satan wanted to keep their stash, God wanted to give them from him – as payment! God rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Mouth and Hand In creation, God used His mouth, with men He used His hand
