Helloween
Ephesians 4:27; 5:8-11; John 10:10
Activity of the enemy comes in three levels: stealing, killing and destroying. You can know them by their fruit Satan can’t be saved, changed or disciplined but only cast out!
HALLOWEEN HISTORY! The only way to keep demons away is the blood of Jesus!!!! Wiccans celebrate 8 holidays. Most important one is Samhain (Halloween). Veil is the thinnest. Souls are departed. Prayer to dead are made. Night is beginning of the year. Sacrifices are offered.
Occult – means “secret”. Nothing harmless about eating fruit, looking back, murmuring, taking another wife, laying on the lap of Delilah!
Halloween is “holy day” “hallow” is “consecrated, set apart” - promotes fear. Perfect love casts out fear. We are people of faith. Fear invites the very thing you’re afraid of - promotes darkness. We are light. Jesus is light of the world. Word is light - promotes death. We believe in cross not skull
Accursed things that defeated Israel: until they destroyed it they couldn’t be successful (Joshua 6:18) Dream catches and charms!!!! Oil, staff, belt, clothes, water avenue of the Holy Spirit Paul burned books (Acts 19:19) Books can be open doors!
God condemns practices of: (you’re open for his influence to affect your life) - fortune-telling (trying to tell the future by palm reading, horoscopes) (God-given gift) - divination (appealing to the spirit world by Ouija boards, tea leaves) - consulting the dead (séances, visiting mediums or “channelers”) King Saul was killed for (1 Chr.10:13-14)
Horror movies are open door for demonic: vampires, wolves, witchcraft. Twilight – Mormon – had a dream! Music – cursing – it’s curse!!! Lust and curse! Music brings presence of God….it can bring presence of evil in your life!!!
Your ears and your eyes are entry to your soul! Keep them closed! Like you do with car! Satan is a thief! Cousin story!

FORTUNE TELLING: ILLUS: A Christian speaker named Bill Gothard told of the time he noticed a young couple having trouble with their youngest of their 3 daughters. This youngest child had an eerie habit of screaming horrendously and then smiling in a deathly calm way, scream and then smile - but only when they entered a church building.  He says he wouldn’t have believed it if he hadn’t seen it himself.  They approached him because they had heard him in one of his seminars and hoped that he could help. Asking if there had been any involvement with fortune telling or other items of that sort, the wife related that before she was married, her mother had taken her to a restaurant where an old woman asked if her mother would like the daughter’s fortune read for a dollar. Her mother, thinking it to be a lark, fished out a dollar from her purse and let the old woman read tea leaves for her daughter.  1. The fortune teller told the daughter that she would marry a tall dark man in a uniform 2. And that they would have 3 children - all boys. And, when she grew up she did fall in love with a tall man with a dark complexion who was in the military. They married and when she became pregnant... she thoroughly expected to give birth to a boy. She was disappointed - not once, not twice, but three times and she found herself particularly disappointed with this third child. Gothard then explained to them that one of the dangers of fortune telling is  3. that it is often 90% right  4. but its the 10% that Satan can use against us.  Whether it was direct demonic influence or simply the result of personal disappointment the tea reading had led to the odd behavior of this third child. That night, the couple went home and prayed over their youngest daughter as she lay in her bed and asked forgiveness for the sins of the past and thanked God for giving them this beautiful child. From that day forward, the odd screaming and weird smile never reoccurred
Historian Nicholas Rogers, exploring the origins of Halloween, notes that while "some folklorists have detected its origins in the Roman feast of Pomona, the goddess of fruits and seeds, or in the festival of the dead called Parentalia, it is more typically linked to the Celtic festival ofSamhain, whose original spelling was Samuin (pronounced sow-an or sow-in)".[1] The name is derived from Old Irish and means roughly "summer's end".[1] A similar festival was held by the ancient Britons and is known as Calan Gaeaf (pronounced Kálan Gái av).
Snap-Apple Night by Daniel Maclise showing a Halloween party in Blarney, Ireland, in 1832. The young children on the right bob for apples. A couple in the center play a variant, which involves retrieving an apple hanging from a string. The couples at left play divination games.
The festival of Samhain celebrates the end of the "lighter half" of the year and beginning of the "darker half", and is sometimes[2]regarded as the "Celtic New Year".[3]
The ancient Celts believed that the border between this world and the Otherworld became thin on Samhain, allowing spirits (both harmless and harmful) to pass through. The family's ancestors were honoured and invited home while harmful spirits were warded off. It is believed that the need to ward off harmful spirits led to the wearing of costumes and masks. Their purpose was to disguise oneself as a harmful spirit and thus avoid harm. In Scotland the spirits were impersonated by young men dressed in white with masked, veiled or blackened faces.[4][5] Samhain was also a time to take stock of food supplies and slaughterlivestock for winter stores. Bonfires played a large part in the festivities. All other fires were doused and each home lit their hearth from the bonfire. The bones of slaughtered livestock were cast into its flames.[6] Sometimes two bonfires would be built side-by-side, and people and their livestock would walk between them as a cleansing ritual.
Another common practice was divination, which often involved the use of food and drink.
The name 'Halloween' and many of its present-day traditions derive from the Old English era
