Do you glance at the things according to presence? Since someone being persuaded to himself to be of Christ, let this one reckon again on behalf of himself, that just as he is of Christ, thus also we.
Presence - Those who are before you.

If Paul Boasted Concerning His Authority, 2 Corinthians 10:8

Excessively - That which is more or to the advantage of another

Paul was Given His Authority by the Lord
He is the Steward of the Dispensation, Ephesians 3:2
if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you,
The Message He Brought Was Not By Men, 1 Corinthians 2:5
that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
Approved by God to be Entrusted With the Gospel, 1 Thessalonians 2:4
But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.
Paul Was Given This Authority for Edification, not Tearing Down

Dare - To undertake, undergo
The Pharisees Who Did Not Dare to Question Christ After He Question Them As To Why David calls the Messiah Lord, Matthew 22:43-46
He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying:
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool” ’?
If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?” And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.
As With Paul, We Also Should Not Dare to Speak of Things Not Accomplished by Christ Through Us, Romans 15:18
For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient—

Paul is Not Counting Himself Among Them
These are ones who do not perceive things as they really are

We are Not to Be This Way, Ephesians 5:17

They Measure Themselves by Themselves
Paul’s Boast is Based Upon the Standard God Divided to Him, not an Immeasurable One, 2 Corinthians 10:13

But we do not boast unto the immeasurable but according to the measure of the standard, which God divided to us, of a measure to reach even as far as of you.
God Dividing Out to Each of Us a Measure of Faith - Concerning Spiritual Gifts, Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
