The Day of Good News

2 Kings 7:9 (Israel-Samaria is capital. Judah-Jerusalem is capital)

Finally they said to one another, "We shouldn't be doing this! This is a day of good news and we're making it into a private party! If we wait around until morning we'll get caught and punished. Come on! Let's go tell the news to the king's palace!" (2 Kings 7:9 MSG)

WHAT GOOD IS GOD WHO IS INACTIVE? Frustration with Famine

Jobs wife and Gideon shared same frustrations!!!

When your down to nothing, God is up for something

When it's the hardest, your the closest (birthing pains)

Jesus has a tendency to nap in storms (wake him up not throw him out)

Black bear sleeps for 100 years in winter

Promise is beginning of Gods activity. John the baptist stopped silence

Promise is given, not miracle. OVERNIGHT MIRACLE

Faith is challenged, because easy faith is in future. HE WILL RISE AGAIN

WHY MY FAITH IS NEEDED IF GOD IS GOING TO DO IT ANYWAY? Faith

Faith is not needed for God but for us

Faith does not make God faithful

Faith let's me eat what others only see

Examples: Moses, Winner of Lottery

Faith does not question....like Zechariah...Faith is standing. Unbelief is nitpicking.

Unbelief seeks to understand. Faith seeks to stand on Word.

Feed faith when in famine. Faithfulness of God is food for faith

What encourages us, terrifies the enemy (see verses hear)

WHERE IS IT COMING FROM? Fight or Flight

God did not create food. God did not rain it down. No miracle.

Enemy has what you need...

When enemy is removed, provision comes

Cause of famine is enemy not God

Promise land was occupied by enemy

GOD REMOVED IT, THEY REMOVED IT WITH GOD

Matthew 12:29 how can you remove possessions unless you bind the strong man.

Evil spirit was cast out, man spoke...

PRAYER POINT

Arise oh Lord. Let your enemies be scattered

Lord I believe. Help my unbelief

Any enemy that's occupying my promise. I serve you eviction notice today in Jesus name!

My problem is not problem for word of God!!!!!
