GROW IN YOUR GRACE
2 Tim.2:1-4
Soldier - dedication to war // dedication
Athlete - play according to rules // discipline
Farmer - hardworking // diligence
My son - you should be mentoring or being mentored if you want to succeed in life
If you reached your destiny - mentor someone; if you are trying to reach your destiny - find a mentor
Grow in the Grace
Before I met Jesus, I could not rely on my strength but now, I have been with Jesus, I can rely on it
Your strength is perfect weakness, it will fail you in time of temptation
Surround Yourself
Sin privately, sin with friends….you can’t go deeper 2 Tim.2:22
Have conversations about Jesus not just church
Endure not fight hardships
Soldiers have hardship
Good soldiers endure them instead of fighting them
Developing your character is God’s priority over giving you what your appetites dictate
Engage in warfare
Wisdom is to separate hardship from warfare (families are broken because everything is demonic, some are afflictions)
Jesus was accused of having a demon....Saul had a demon
What i have to endure and what I have to engage?
Goliath or brothers? We agree with Satan on his terms, and we have this wait and see attitude, we endure him...yet we engage in war against others...
Don’t entangle with details
Focus is to please Jesus - redefined winning is pleasing not conquering (Satan is defeated, but Jesus is not pleased)
Count it all joy when you fall in trails, testing of faith, produces patience = perfect and complete
Hardship is the hardest and the worse ship… Jonah, Jesus, and Paul
Only in faith you can have joy as response to trails
Patience is muscle under your fat, the only way, less fat and more muscle is not miracle but painful work
4. Recognize your real battle
Paul saw Spirit behind good confession. Samuel almost anointed a wrong king
Deception we label her as evangelist, and him as king
Deception is not knowing who you got on your team
Don't be entangled with details
Keep objective clear - please Jesus
