Adam sinned, identity was hi jacked. Shame led to fear

Born again with new identity in Christ, sin messes with it

Identity effects your perspective (glasses - we see the way we are, not the way things are) + Caleb & Joshua / love self

They relate with you cause that's the way they relate with themselves

Identity effects your performance (we blame our self esteem on bad performance)

John 1:19-23

1. I am NOT Christ (John 1:20) THERE IS GOD, YOU’RE NOT HIM (I AM IN CHRIST, but I am not Christ)

Satan became satan by trying to be God

Adam did not only fail becoming God, but failed being himself

Pride is national religion of hell

Key is SURRENDER, instead suppress

It's not growing up but growing down

God will not let you have everything at the expense of his absence

Identity is my position, don’t confuse it with your condition. Trees without leaves, condition but it’s still tree. Baby is still the son.

When you have identity, you have a voice

- make straight the way of The Lord
