Matthew 20:30 Two blind man. Departed FROM Jericho
Luke 18:35 Certain blind man. Coming INTO Jericho
Mark 10:46 Certain blind man. Coming FROM Jericho
Jericho 15 miles of NE of Jerusalem. Old vs New rebuild by Herod
Matthew doubles:
Two demon possessed men (Matthew 8:28-34) verses (Mark 5:1-17; Luke 8:26-39)
Donkey and colt (Matthew 21:1-11) verses (Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:29-38)
Two angels (John and Luke) verses one (Matthew)
ITS NOT A CONTRADICTION!
1. OPPORTUNITY MUST BE SENSED. Blind but no stupid
TTY: Jesus is constant movement not monument
Opportunity is set of circumstances that make it possible to do something
Moved by spirit not by sight. Some time u need to go blind to start seeing
2. OPPORTUNITY IS PUNCTUAL
"I seldom able to see an opportunity until it had ceased to be one" Mark Twain
"Opportunity knocks once, temptation will bang on the door for years"
{Manna in the wilderness}
{Coming to USA}
{Pool of Bethesda}
{Ark of Noah}
Opportunity to give your life to Jesus. {Bonnke Story}
Opportunity to serve Jesus. {Woman whose co worker died} [start home group]
TTY: Procrastination is an assassin of opportunity
3. POSITION YOURSELF FOR OPPORTUNITY
You can't create it but you can be prepared for one
You want a wife - go to the right well
You can't surf in your bathtub
--- They believe for what they don't see
Open your ears, not your eyes.
You are blessed
--- They speak what they believe
Don't speak what you see
--- They don't give up when it's hard, they persist until Jesus stops
If you want to win, don't quit; if want to quit don't start
People change - God does not!
When you get Jesus attention, people's attitudes tend to change (Joseph, David)
--- They see what they believe
When you believe what you don't see, you will see what you believe
Devil does not fight me for what I see
Open your mouth, open your ears, close your heart, so that He open your eyes
You will see, not for minute
Abraham opened ears, mouth, closed his heart to doubt - God opened his eyes
Some see partially, God who started will finish!
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
