Joshua 1:1-5
Victims focus on what they are going through, victors focus on what they are going to!
There are places in our life we are not meant to stay but only pass through
Egypt was season. Wilderness was season.
Your trouble is seasonal, not going to stay. It came to pass.
Mike Llitch, Macedonia, served in military, 1952 offered 4 year contract in minor league. 3 years into it, knee surgery. Gets a job, making pizza. Owns Detroit Tigers Major league.
(Dreams of playing did not happen, but now he owns the company)
Cheryl Prewitt, every Tuesday Milk Man. 11 years, had accident, broke leg in 32 places, 200 stitches in her face, 5 years on wheelchair. 19 entered local beauty place, became Miss Mississippi, 1980 became Miss America. Now is pastor along with her husband.
1. When the best leader is gone, the best days were still ahead
Jesus introduced to Holy Spirit.
God sends stars to introduce us to an encounter.
Don’t worship the star, go where it’s leading you.
Parents raise children, seasons change when they move out
2. The ark must replace the rod
Miracles were performed by Moses, now it’s by the priests.
Rod was only used, through ark was there,  now it’s the ark carried on shoulders of priests.
They waited on God in Red Sea, now God waited on them in the Jordan
If you don’t go, we don’t go, now God said where you foot steps in, is yours!
3. Circumcision must replace complaining
Circumcision takes you from entering the promise to possess the promise
Give your first to God in giving, prayer, and fasting
When you give, greed is conquered. When you pray, pride is defeated. When you fast, lust is disarmed.
4. Enduring must give in to engaging
In wilderness you endured hardships, in promise land you engage the enemy
You don’t get what God promised, you get what you fight for (fight according to prophecies)
God does not have your blessing, the enemy does
God was furious when they got more in wilderness, but in promise land He was furious when they settled for less.
