DEVIL MADE ME DO IT
We can’t commit sin without satan and can’t be holy without the Holy Spirit
God’s permissible will is what God allows (Luke 8:32; 1 Sam. 16:14; Job 1:12; 2:6) and God’s perfect will is revealed in Jesus (Rom.12:2). Satan has to apply for the permit to move the righteous (Psalm 55:22)
1 Chronicles 21:1 Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.
David was trusting more in his military strength than in God’s power (see Ps. 20:7) or a violation of God’s instruction to Moses on how to conduct a census (see Ex. 30:11–16). The first would be a sin of motive and the second, a sin of method.
Satan asked for you to swift (Luke 22:31) Satan filled Ananias (Acts 5:3) Satan moved David (1 Chronicles 21:1) Satan put into the heart to betray (John 13:2), entered Judas (Luke 22:2)
1. Submit to the Lordship of Jesus. Satan has right to your life if Jesus not the Lord! Exorcism on non believers. Judas called Jesus teacher but not LORD! Where the Spirit is LORD there is freedom! Spiritual world responds to authority….not just insurance card SUBMIT to God and then RESIST!!! I would rather be GOd’s son than devils slave… Many receive Jesus as their savior but don’t submit to HIs as their Lord
2. Forgive if you want to be free Wounds neglected become infected…revolving door to demons… If you hold on to bitterness, Satan will hold you in bondage “Repent therefore of his your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are poised by bitterness and bound by iniquity.” Acts 8:22-23 “And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.” Matthew 18:34 When you give up your right to bitterness, satan loses his right to you. Jesus does not come to kill your haters but to fix your heart.
3. Deliverance comes by revelation, not just manifestation. Proclaim liberty to captives, not just set them free! Story: Japanese soldier continued to fight WWII 29 years after war was over. Hire Onoda. Behind every bondage is a lie, behind every deliverance is a truth! You get free the same way you get saved by knowing what the word says. Saved or free means your pull changes. Repentance removes the grip of satan, regret reinforces it. Repentance focuses on the cross, regret focuses on sin Repentance brings restoration, regret brings devastation Peter’s sin vs Judas sin!
4. The part of your life devil does not have control over is more powerful than the part he controls. Captive by proclaiming. Prisoner by opening of the prison doors. God opens the door, but you have to leave the prison! Don’t play a victim. Devil is not as in control over you as you think. You are not as weak as you feel. Peter was sleeping. Bound with two chains between two soldiers. Guard was keeping the prison. Angel, light, struck Peter. Arise quickly. Put on clothes and Follow Me. Unreal. He did not go back to that prison or those soldiers but to new crowd who did not accept him! Prison is your mindset, habits and friends!
Devil can make you do it, but you can make him leave you.
