Basic Facts about your Body:
1. God created my body.
2. Jesus paid for my body when He died on the cross
3. The Holy Spirit lives in the body.
4. God will resurrect my body after I die
⚫️“What you do with your body sets the tone for everything else. Physical health influences your mental health, spiritual health, your emotional health, your relational health & financial.”
“Please test us for ten days on a diet of vegetables and water,” Daniel said. “At the end of the ten days, see how we look compared to the other young men who are eating the king’s food. Then make your decision in light of what you see.” The attendant agreed to Daniel’s suggestion and tested them for ten days. At the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the young men who had been eating the food assigned by the king.

Body 70%; Lungs 90%; Brain 95%; Skin 80%; Bones 24%; Muscle 75%; Blood 85%;
🔻Benefits of drinking water:
1. Receives fatigue
2. Improves mood
3. Treats headaches and migraines
4. Helps in digestion and constipation
5. Aids weight loss
6. Flushes out toxins
7. Regulates body temperature
8. Promotes healthy skin
9. Prevents join paints and arthritis
10. Increases metabolism
⚫️Goal 2 — Healthy Eating
🔻Gluttony is sin.
Eve, Esau, Israel, Sodom & Gomorrah ate themselves out of their blessing.
Jesus was tempted with food.
🔻Most unhealthy foods:
1. high sugar cereals
2. sugary coffee drinks
3. canned soup
4. margarine
5. soda
6. processed lunch meats
7. ice cream and frozen French fries.

10 minutes a day can make a difference.
⚫️Goal 4 - Restorative Sleep
Best sleep is between 10-2 highest levels of melatonin are circulating in your brain.
🔻Lack of Sleep will bring:
1. 27% higher risk of obesity
2. 48% of hearth disease
3. 5 times higher risk of diabetes
4. 20% of accidents due to lack of sleep
5. 32% reduced alertness with 1.5 less sleep
⚫️Lasting change begins with committing your body to God (Romans 12:1-2)
Today we make similar mistake as some of the Greek Philosophies did thousands of years ago. Aristotle, Socrates, & Plato believed in dualism, which included the idea that your mind is important, but not your body. They devalued body. Some Greek philosophers taught that your body is evil, so it didn’t really matter if you messed it up.
Bible teaches the opposite — your body is holy, because God created it, and everything God creates HAS A PURPOSE!
