GENEROSITY - Being Rich in What Matters Most

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. 1 Timothy 6:17-19

YOU ARE RICH!

Simply possessing wealth does not make you good at managing it. Having a lot of people make does not make you good at being rich, as having a lot of children does not make you good at being a parent.

1. Don’t be proud.

Arrogance is having an inflated sense of self-worth.

Example: rich king “all is mine”. Pride makes us bit insane.

2. Don’t trust in riches.

Example: Bad rich ruler!

3. Do dood.

Don’t use generosity as an excuse to lose integrity.

4. Be rich in good works.

Greed is assumption that all we have is for our consumption.

Example: Fool rich man. Houses and God’s house!

“I will be richer in faith than in finances”

5. Be ready to give.

Example: Poor widow

“I will make giving a priority, give with percentage, and make giving progressive”

6. Willing to share.

“I will share not just sell”

Example: Share forgiveness. Don’t sell. Healing. Towel. Land. Duplex.

Don’t expect people to give u stuff for free. Poor person!

7. Store a foundation in eternity.

“I will store more in my IEA fund than my IRA”
