0905 Secret Place - Miracle Behind Closed Doors

A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” 2 Kings 4:1

Focus on the presence inspite of the problems

He was in the school. He was serving. He was fearing God with problems.

It's not what I have (poverty/prosperity) but what has my attention.

Prosperity Gospel (righteous=rich)

Poverty Gospel (wealth=wicked/poor=pious)

Gospel of the Kingdom (presence = peace // principles = provision) Jesus preached on kingdom 126 times in gospels, 34 times after that. Born king. Preached kingdom. Repentance and salvation. Demonstrated kingdom. Illustrated kingdom. Died a king. Told us to seek it. THE PIZZA example…

The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8

Focus on what’s left, not on what’s lost.

So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” 1 Kings 4:2

Prophet does not call the king, creditors, create fundraiser, or writes a check.

God will use you to be part of solution to the problem you were a part of creating.

If God changes my life without changing me, I will find myself in the same problem soon.

Jesus wants to make my life better but also make me better at life.

When you lost everything, remember, the Holy Spirit did not leave you. (Joseph, everyone left you…Jesus everyone left you)

If you recognize that Holy Spirit has not left you, he will being to lead you.

Face your fear and feed your faith

Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 2 Kings 4:4

Before God removes problem, he wants to remove fear.

Flood of the past will not repeat in the future (Rainbow, enemy you see today, Jesus coming again)

When clouds gather, look for the rainbow.

Trials of life breed fear, testimonies of God build faith

Fear and faith are the same thing, the only difference is that fear is faith in the reverse. (That thing is over. Switch from reverse to drive)

Faith and fear both ask me to belie in something I can’t yet see. I choose faith

I walk through valley - NO FEAR! table, cup running over…Girl gets from sick to dead - NO FEAR, only believe! Don’t get your hopes up!!! So live on PARKED or REVERSE!

Secret place is the secret to success

And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” 2 Kings 4:4

Close the door of distraction so that God can open windows of heaven

Empty your mind of life’s problems so that God can fill it with his peace

Relationship with Holy Spirit grows when we cultivate it.

Talk to Holy Spirit in private and you will walk in Holy Spirit in public.

Flow is proportional with my faith

Sell in public what flows in private

Sell. Pay. Live

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.” 2 Kings 4:7

Pay down your debt. Breakthrough is not about showing everyone but about you living free inside.
