Theme: Time
Opening Statement:
Life and time are precious assets that we should value and appreciate. Too many times we take life and time for granted.
James 4:14 KJV
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
About 3 weeks ago, who would’ve ever thought that today we would be laying Sis. Beckay remains to rest. None of us would’ve ever thought it.
However it is a reminder for those of us that are left behind how fragile and how valuable life is.
It is a common saying and thought that as we age we become more cognizant of our morality. The older we become, the more that we realize that we don’t have as much time left here on Earth as we use to.
Our bodies clue us in on this fact, it seems as we age we develop new aches, new pains, our bodies don’t function like they did when we were in our teenage years, when we were in our 20’s or even 30’s.
But I want to challenge that thought process, matter of fact that process of realizing our morality should hit close to home today, because we have a young lady that lays before us who was called to rest in the prime of her life.
I say prime of her life because she died at 31 years of age. Prime of her life because the scriptures declare that:
Psalm 90:10 KJV
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
In other-words, Moses who is the originator of this song declares in his prayer to The LORD that 70 years are given to us, and that some are even allowed to see 80 years.
However, 70 years are not promised. Proverbs 27 declares this in verse 1:
Proverbs 27:1 KJV
Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Matter of fact tomorrow is not promised to us.
I think if Beckay could talk to us today, I believe that she would echo the words that are found in Eph 5:15-16
Ephesians 5:15–16 KJV
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Beckay is considered to be a young person in age and to us it is unnatural for a person to die young. Because to us we think that when a person dies young that they still had their whole life ahead of them.
But Brother Job said in the book of Job:
Job 14:5 KJV
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
Everyone of us we have a determined number of days. We do not know what that day is, we don’t know when our time will be up, and you can’t negotiate and get extended time. King Hezekiah was the only one that I know that was able to do so.
But while it is today......not tomorrow......right now. While it is today, take advantage of the time that the Lord has given you.
Ephesians 5:15–16 NLT
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
The days that we are living in our evil days. So much is going on, there is violence everywhere, sin is running rampant, death is all around us! While we have time, let us be careful how we live, while we have time, let’s make the most of every opportunity that God has given us!
Don’t Let Time get away from you! Before you know it, life will have passed you by, before you know you can’t get around like you use to, before you know life will have come to and end. Encourage someone sitting near you and tell them “Neighbor, don’t let time get away from you!”
You’ll blink your eye, your children are grown, you blink your eye, the grays will start filling in, you blink your eye, and now you can’t take care of yourself, someone gotta roll you around in a wheelchair, you blink your eye, then you’re life will come to an end. Then what will you have to show for it, what will you stand before God and say, don’t spend all of your life living for yourself, living to have a good time, living to make yourself feel pleasure, living to make a quick buck, living to drown your sorrow away in alcohol, smoking, snorting, and shooting yourself up!
If you are hurting, don’t self medicate, if you got sorrow don’t drown it out with substances!
Hosea 6:1 KJV
Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Psalm 107:20 KJV
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
The LORD is able.....He’s able to heal in hurt, He’s able to lift you above despair! He can give you joy for sorrow, he can give you a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
You ought to live to please God, you ought to live acknowledge God in everything you do, you ought to live to be used by the LORD to save others out of judgement, you ought to live to determine what the will of the LORD is for your life!!!
DON’T DIE.......LIVE!!!! ENCOURAGE YOUR NEIGHBOR AND TELL THEM DON’T DIE......LIVE!!! LIVE FOR THE LORD.......LIVE TO PLEASE HIM......LIVE TO LOVE HIM......LIVE TO PRAISE HIM!!!

Beckay spent her last moments of life honoring The LORD. She had the opportunity to attend church. We don’t know what went on between her and the LORD, but I thank God that if it was her time to go......what better way to go than to spend time with the LORD!!! The Lord could have took her while she was messing up, the LORD could have took her while she was out of his will. BUT THANK GOD.......I KNOW IT HURTS......BUT YOU OUGHT TO THANK GOD.......THAT SHE LEFT ON GOOD TERMS!!!
Lord we praise you!!! It hurts.....but we praise you.....it hurts but you are still good.......you are still worthy of our praise.......we thank you for her!!! We thank you that you are giving us a chance to get it right with you! We thank you that you are going to be with us. We thank you that you are going to strengthen us. We thank you that you are going to comfort us!!! LORD YOU ARE GOOD!!!

Take advantage of the time that God has given you. Don’t live a life in which you are second guessing whether you are going to be saved, second guessing whether you are going to make it into the kingdom of God.
Make your election sure. Repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
1 John 4:17 NLT
And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.
