Habakkuk 1:2-5 (NIV)
Esta é a mensagem que Deus, por meio de uma visão, deu a Habacuque.
Adjust your focus
Habbakkuk 1:2-5
“How long, Lord, must I call for help,
but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
but you do not save?
Why do you make me look at injustice?
Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds.
Therefore the law is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice is perverted.”
And the Lord answered:
“Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.”
1- Struggles are part of being human
Fights are real and suffering is something that will always come.
“The truth of the matter is that all we have to do is live long enough and we will suffer.” - D.A. Carson
“We do not give the subject of evil and suffering the thought it deserves until we ourselves are confronted with tragedy.” - D.A. Carson
“The question is not whether we will suffer, but how we’ll respond when we suffer.” - C.J. Mahaney
2- Struggles are not the right focus
“How long, Lord, must I call for help,
but you do not listen?” - (1.2)
“ The righteous shall live by his faith” (2.4)
‘’For the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea”. (2.14)
“Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see”. - Hebrews 11.1
“God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth.” (3.3)
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” (3.17-18)
Suffering is the wrong focus. Habbakkuk, the questioning prophet ends his prayer declaring that the Lord is his savior and he’ll rejoice in him.
“You came out to deliver your people, to save your anointed one.” (3.13)

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17
1- If you needed to know more than you know, he would have shown it to you already.
2- God is good in his job!
3- Every problem reveals us who God really is and what he’s doing.
