INFLUENCER

I have a love hate relationship with today’s influencer.

The youtube sensation. The ig model. The tik tok star. The black twitter famous one.

There are a few reasons that I do not like influencers.

Who they are on Social Media, is not who there are in real life. Bodies are fake, jets are rented, money is not high Its all fake

The partnerships they have is only for the money. (they do not believe in the product that they are selling.)

The influence does not last long. (Today’s influencer is tomorrows hot topic) One day their influencers and the next day they are forgotten. (the nay nay. Has been replaced by the hip dance.) who remembers the soulja boy? Walk it out?

however there are a few things that I do like

The amount of people they can touch. Some have many followers.

Their branding is nice.

They love the place their in. (Influencers love being influencers.)

What is an influencer?

person with the ability to influence potential buyers of a product or service by promoting

they are promoters, Brand ambassadors

Some wear the product, Some try the product out, Some put the product on display, because they understand what it means to be an influencer.

The influencer of Honda, has a Honda.

The influencer of coke, drinks nothing but coke products

The influencer of Jordan, wears nothing but jordans.

and as christians. Jesus wants us to be his influencers or ambassadors. but It is on us to live out, what we promote. We have to put that product on display.

So how then?

how is it that we become influencers of christ.

We have to understand the assignment.

what is the assignment.

Matthew 28:19–20 KJV 1900

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

It is our assignment to go out and teach everyone.

Teach them

Gospel. -

Our assignment is to go and teach what God wants us to teach.

2. We have to Apply the assignment to our lives.

We can not teach what we do not know.

We can not promote. what we do not believe in.

Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth

Just like the influencer, If we do not “try jesus” show jesus, promote jesus in front of people, they will never try him.

Jesus called us to do greater

John 14:12 KJV 1900

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

3. We have to be unashamed ambassadors

the promoter is not ashamed in what they promote

Be unashamed in the application.

Some of us will be the only way someone else sees Jesus.

Paul stated in Romans 1:16

Romans 1:16 (KJV 1900)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Do not be ashamed to share your faith.
