Nature of the Holy Spirit
We can not see the Spirit, but we see the results of the Spirit.
John 3:8 KJV 1900
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit gives guidance for the believer
John 16:13 (KJV 1900)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Acts 8:29 KJV 1900
29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
The Holy Spirit is the power behind the church.
Ephesians 2:22 KJV 1900
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Understanding these, we see Paul living out these truths in his life.
It is so easy to make a plan and follow it without asking for input from God.
We must be always ready to follow God’s plan for our lives, not our own.
Paul already had a plan it seems:
Show how he was going to make a circle through asia minor likely.
This means being willing to give up our plans.
This means not always knowing the end of the plan.
This means being willing to change plans.
This means embracing whatever God reveals.
