Are you courageous?
Are you living life courageously?
God’s plan for your life is so massively amazing that you need courage to live it!
If you haven’t had to be courageous in a long time, you are almost certainly living smaller than God wants for you to live.
Joshua 1:7–9 NKJV
7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
If you choose a path that doesn’t require courage, you are almost invariably choosing a direction heading away from your destiny.
It takes courage to live the Christian life without compromise!
2 Timothy 3:12 NKJV
12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
Matthew 7:13–14 NKJV
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Make courageous choices & navigate life, don’t just float along.
Floating along is, in and of itself, a choice - often it’s a choice called resignation.
Our navigation of life must be driven by a purpose and a destination.
Living Courageously is a choice!

Speak Courageously:

When I’m choosing to not speak plainly but to hint at or barely touch the situation I’m not living courageously.
2 Corinthians 3:12–13 AMP
12 Since we have such [glorious] hope (such joyful and confident expectation), we speak very freely and openly and fearlessly. 13 Nor [do we act] like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze upon the finish of the vanishing [splendor which had been upon it].
I intend to pastor courageously!
You will not flee in fear from their face (Deut 7:21)
Ephesians 4:15 NKJV
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
Being courageous in our speech doesn’t mean we have to be mean or spiteful.
Be courageous enough to bring to light, in love, the things that might be hurting your friends.
Have you ever thought about inviting trustworthy people & giving trustworthy people permission to speak truth into your life?
(That’s Courageous)
When we see them, let’s face our shortcomings courageously!

Love Courageously:

1 Peter 1:22 NKJV
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
Fervently = Intentionally Extended
Intentionally extending your love to others takes courage!
It might not be returned, It might be taken advantage of, etc.
We don’t give love in order to get love - we intentionally extend love because God’s love is overflowing from our heart!
God is our source, not others! God’s love is more than enough!

Give Courageously:

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God - Romans 10:17
So
Listen to these promises from God’s word and get courageous in generosity!
Philippians 4:19 NKJV
19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
Psalm 37:25 NKJV
25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.
Proverbs 10:22 NKJV
22 The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.
Luke 6:38 NKJV
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Don’t just give money & things give your-self too!

Live Courageously:

Don’t be like Moses and cover up, hide & minimize the glory of God that is on your life (2 Corinthians 3:13)
Matthew 5:13–16 NKJV
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Your decision to live courageously inspires others to greatness (1 Samuel 17 - the account of David & Goliath)
Isaiah 60:1 NKJV
1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

Just One Thing:

It takes courage to be who God called you to be - ONLY be strong and very courageous!
