Faith Triumph Over Trouble

Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Justified by faith - cleared of all charges by trusting Christ’s sacrifice.

Peace with God - unbreakable chain that eternally binds us to Christ.

oneness with God.

This power is from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. John 7:38-39

Romans 5:2-3 “Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,”

Boasting on God.

rejoice in hope of the glory of God - boast on God.

rejoice in our sufferings - boast on God sustaining us. How we go through.

Suffering produces Patience/endurance - ability to continue working in face of strong opposition and great obstacles.

Romans 5:4 “and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,”

Endurance produces Experience/character

Just as the term was used to demonstrate the purity of silver or gold. God uses tribulations to cleanse believers of spiritual impurities.

James 1:12

Character produces Hope - confident favorable expectation

Love - His love for us through Christ but also our personal experiences with God.

God changes us to change circumstances. If the circumstance isn’t changing, He may be changing us.

Out of our most trying times, comes some of our most powerful ministry.
