But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.””

Moses’s time - a certificate of divorce was allowed. why? “because of your hardness of heart”

why? Well, because man and woman were made for each other.

Jesus’ defense against divorce is literally “God made them male and female”

in other words - men and women are made for each other. They FIT TOGETHER.

God designed the universe to work in a certain way, and inside of that universe he made humanity to work a certain way. Male and Female - one for the other. Since the beginning of time.

Gen 1 - Adam being alone was not good, so God made woman. He made woman to fit with man. LIterally.

Man does not fit with man. Woman does not fit with woman. This is basic biology.

WHY? Because God made it so.

no-fault divorce is a rebellion against God.

and man+man or woman+woman is a rebellion against God’s GOOD design. He made it so. He laid it out.

but - based on what? What is their standard of truth? Where do they get that from?

Biology? no. History? no.

some claim to get it from nature, since some monkeys do it then we’re good to go as well.

but that’s obviously not an authoritative claim.

So where do they really get it from? From what people want.

it’s the result of a humanistic society. You can do whatever you like, whatever makes you happy. Whatever fulfills you.

man’s preference is at the center, and it isn’t governed by anything authoritative outside of it.

which means ....

why just two individuals? Why not three or four?

and why adults?

we’re already seeing this beginning in our world around us.

government school systems are beginning to gender transition counsel students without the consent of their parents.

you see where this trajectory heads.

When you lose Biblical authority - a trained Biblical conscience - everything else falls apart.

you have no foundation - you have future.

And this is what happens anytime we take a created gift and turn it into God.

it can’t handle being God. It can’t save you. It can’t fulfill you. It can’t take your sins away for you. It can’t forgive you.

Only God does that.

But when we begin to worship a created gift other than the creator.... we destroy it. And we destroy ourselves.

Look at the culture in which we live.

When we worship sex, we chase sex above all else, the family falls apart.

affairs, fatherless children, abortion - and effects on society?

right now in Opelousas shootings are near daily - and who are perpetuators? Kids. Kids without dads. Without families. Without a Biblical conscience.

why? Because of the sexual revolution.

When we worship sex - we destroy society.

THIS IS WHY Jesus’ defense against divorce - GOD MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE.

It’s all related.
