Not too long ago, we had the privilege to train a group of young people. As we prepared we discussed what should we train them on, maybe finances, programing, or any structural method that might move these brave youth.
We realized that we focus so much on the what and how, they needed to know they why, why they exist, why they are adventists.
Some of the results were:
A city that had no church was visited with youth and they did such a work that even the catholic priest recommended people to go. At the end the mayor donated a property in town for a church building.
Little schools were open for children that have no food.
Health clinics.
When we trained, we didn’t train how to go towns and preach, or how to open schools, or much less on how to do day clinics.
But we told them why they were created, and who they really are.
Identity is what Satan has been changing in all humanity, to the point that today, even as SDA, we don’t really understand why we are here.
Canvassers are treated as salesman, so they believe that they are salesman.
You are treated as a worker, so you believe that is just a job.

Identity

“According to quora.com, the estimated number of church buildings accommodating Christian congregations is approximately 37 million. That’s one for every 65 people. The same website indicates that there are 34,000 Christian denominations in the world”

Revelation 7:1–4 NKJV
After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
God is about to release the plagues but He has to protect His people.
A great calamity is about to fall on earth
The seal is part of this generation
This generation is counted especial
Revelation 7:13–17 NKJV
Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
They went through a great battle
The victory is wash their clothes and whitened in the blood of the Lamb.
Jesus wipes their tears because the battle cause much pain.
Revelation 14:1–5 NKJV
Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.
They are the only ones who know the song
They didn’t contaminated with women, they are virgins (they have the truth)
They follow the lamb
WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?
Why are they known by a number and not as a name?
Patriarchs and Prophets Chapter 26—From the Red Sea to Sinai

The history of the wilderness life of Israel was chronicled for the benefit of the Israel of God to the close of time. The record of God’s dealings with the wanderers of the desert in all their marchings to and fro, in their exposure to hunger, thirst, and weariness, and in the striking manifestations of His power for their relief, is fraught with warning and instruction for His people in all ages. The varied experience of the Hebrews was a school of preparation for their promised home in Canaan. God would have His people in these days review with a humble heart and teachable spirit the trials through which ancient Israel passed, that they may be instructed in their preparation for the heavenly Canaan.

As we study the Israel in the wilderness we can find answers
Numbers 1:1–3 NKJV
Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying: “Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, every male individually, from twenty years old and above—all who are able to go to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their armies.
God orders a census
In the census process, people are counted for WAR
THESE GROUP ARE SOLDIERS!!
Every career in life brings risks
Construction workers get damage in their backs
Flight attendants get carpal tunel
IT have eye challenges
Soldiers’ risk is that you can loose your life
Risk is not present if you don’t go to war
Risk is high in enemy lines
God´s army has no veterans
2 Timothy 2:3 NKJV
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
“Low morale among Russian troops represents a serious challenge for the Kremlin as both Russia and Ukraine prepare for what many now fear will be a long war. Ukraine has also suffered heavy casualties during the first five months of hostilities but Ukrainian troops are supremely motivated by the knowledge that they are fighting for their homeland against a foreign aggressor. Unlike their Russian enemies, they have nowhere else to go.”
“Motivation is likely to become a key factor in the months ahead. This is one category where the Ukrainian military enjoys an unquestionable and overwhelming advantage. While ordinary Russians cheer the invasion from their sofas, demoralization within the ranks of Putin’s army could become a major problem for the Kremlin as the brutal war unleashed by the Russian dictator drags on with no end in sight.”

“Working hard for something we don't believe is called stress; working hard for something we believe is called passion.” – Simon Sinek
Numbers Chapter 1 presents a census, they are ready for battle, the land is ready, enemies are ready.
Numbers 13 - God calls for a Census, but when he calls for a census, He calls for war right before crossing the river Jordan to reach Canaan. A generation was ready, but their aims were too low and looked the impossibility of conquering giants
They didn’t believe the promises of God
They hated those who believed the promises of God
They desired to go back to Egypt
God decides when is too late
They don’t go too bad in the desert, cloud on the day and fire on the night and manna
Numbers 26:1–4 NKJV
And it came to pass, after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying: “Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel from twenty years old and above, by their fathers’ houses, all who are able to go to war in Israel.” So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho, saying: Take a census of the people from twenty years old and above, just as the Lord commanded Moses and the children of Israel who came out of the land of Egypt.”
Once a generation has rejected, he calls the new generation and calls for another census because they are about to cross the river Jordan.
There is a generation that is willing to leave the desert
A generation is called for the last days and they are called for a reason, they are going to face great battles
They are going to face, not people, policemen, or laws, they are going to fight demons.
After 1844 God has been calling for a census in every generation for them to finish the work.
Desire of Ages Chapter 58—“Lazarus, Come Forth”

To all who are reaching out to feel the guiding hand of God, the moment of greatest discouragement is the time when divine help is nearest.

Ministry of Healing Chapter 41—In Contact with Others

Those who decline the struggle lose the strength and joy of victory

Acts of the Apostles Chapter 1—God’s Purpose for His Church

In every age the Lord has had His watchmen, who have borne a faithful testimony to the generation in which they lived. These sentinels gave the message of warning; and when they were called to lay off their armor, others took up the work. God brought these witnesses into covenant relation with Himself, uniting the church on earth with the church in heaven.

If Jesus doesn’t come in your time, What armor are you leaving behind?
My uncle Noel left us an armor
My dad left me an armor to pick up
You are leading a ministry, because you PICKED UP an armor that someone left!
We will finish the work or we will die trying, is our moto.
WHY SDA??
Because the message entrusted to us is the only one that will bring Jesus for the second time.
“Though no one joins me, still I will follow. No turning back, no turning back.”
We were created and entrusted for the last call in earth’s history, so when Jesus comes we will hear the most beautiful words saying “Well done, good and faithful servant, come and rest for we have won the battle.” then for the first time in our lives we will hug our captain and be lost in his love for ever and ever.
