Feasts Timeline
First month of the year - Nisan (Ex. 12:2)
10th of Nisan - Lamb Selection (Ex. 12:3)
Lamb was to be without blemish (Ex 12:5, Lev 22:19-21, Deuteronomy 17:1, Mal 1:8,14, Heb 9:14)
What day did Jesus enter Jerusalem and go to his household for examination?
14th of Nisan - Lamb to be killed at “twilight” (between evenings?) (Ex 12:6)
Any significance that the moon would be nearly full 14 days after new moon (beginning of the month?)
Start of Passover
Start of Feast of Unleavened bread (Ex 12:18 )
Blood applied to doorposts and lintel of the houses where they eat (Ex 12:7)
Why doorposts and lintel? (Eze 43:7-8 The foundation/doorway supports of God vs. Man)
how is a door held up? If Jesus is the door, based on what?
Significance of house where they eat?
Eat the meat of the lamb that night, roasted (why not boiled?) (Ex 12:8-9)
None of it is left, any remainder is burned (Ex 12:10)
Eat it fully clothed, hastily, ready to travel (Ex 12:11)
God says he will pass through the land, striking the firstborn, executing judgments on the gods of Egypt (Ex 12:12)
The blood is to be a sign for the Israelites, those with blood on the doorpost will be passed over (Ex 12:13)
Observing passover is to be a memorial day, a feast, as a statute (Ex 12:14)
21st of Nisan Eating of unleavened bread stops (Ex 12:18)
No leaven is to be found for 7 days
Anyone with leaven is “cut off”
