Euology
June 6, 1942 -Oct. 11, 2022
Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

Conclusion
On Oct. 11, when Colleen passed, she entered into a new residence - into the Kingdom of God. We cannot bring her back to earth, but we can go where she is now, if we make her God our God, by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His saints.
I’ve known Colleen since I was seven years old. I want to thank you Kim, for allowing me to officiate this memorial service for your Mom. It is an honor and a privilege. You and Cora have suffered some great losses.
Billy and Colleen were special to me. I visited them often in their home. Who here today doesn’t have a pool stick or “que”?
Colleen always had her dog sitting by her while she was reading.
She would come out to the garage and check on Billy to see how he was doing or did he need anything. Her concern and love for him was unending.
I remember one time that Colleen was working in the bakery at the Homeland grocery store and I was getting a birthday cake for one of the kids, and she took extra time in preparing and decorating that cake and made it special. It was a huge hit.
Colleen was proud of her daddy. She would always show me pictures of his stone masonry work. Kim, she would always show me pictures of your time in the pacific.
She liked to talk about her children and their lives, she never needed attention for herself. Colleen loved attending our church at Pickett Prairie. I always loved seeing her and Billy there. His illness made it difficult for them to come.
I have many memories of Colleen growing up. She would take us kids for rides in her red mustang with the top down. I remember her not letting Billy drive it.
Colleen was an encourager to people. She was not pushy as a wife to Billy. She was always kind and gentle to others.
Colleen was like Jesus.
