Read of the word

1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
1 Peter 2:9 (MSG)
9-10 But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.
You are chosen!

Quote

It was Halima Aden who once said in quotes: “For a really long time, I thought being different was a negative thing. But as I grew older, I started to realize we were all born to stand out; nobody is born to blend in.”
if you are a believer you are not meant to blend in, but if you are a Christian, if you are a child of God you are meant to stand out, because you are different.

Story about Brandon

conversations I have with Brandon regarding how to carry yourself as a Christian.
(your sermon three points:
Walk different
Talk different
Act different

I’m different Intro

The text tells us that you are the chosen ones, you are different and because you are different:
things that you use to do you no longer do,
places you use to go you no longer go,
things you use to say you no longer say
The bible tell us in Ephesians 4:17-32
Ephesians 4:17–18 NKJV
This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;

Caleb

Numbers 14:24 NKJV
But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.
I have to finish the rest of the outline.
I can use Samuel where it talks about how he went to Saul to let him know his days are limited as king. Then Samuel goes to the house of Jessie and ask to see his sons and Samuel says that none of the sons was the one that God has choose to be the king. He ask if there are any other sons and he say David. In a way He looks down on David because He did not think he was qualified. Many times we disqualify people but that does not matter when God Choose you. God Aways used the ones that people wrote off, told they was not going to be anybody, etc.
I need to finished section by Wednesday,
