“BUT IF NOT” Faith
If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:17-18
“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Daniel 3:25
Quarantine is a state, period, or place of isolation in which people or animals that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to infectious or contagious disease are placed. impose isolation on (a person, animal, or place).
Three boys got put into quarantine.
This quarantine they are thrown into.
They lost their jobs but there was threat to loss of life.
1. GOD IS ABLE TO DELIVER US
“Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,” 1 Corinthians 1:9-10
2. DELAYED DELIVERANCE SHOULDN’T DERAIL OUR DEVOTION
“But If Not” faith.
- Faith is a bridge over troubled waters but “But If Not” faith is the path through them.
- Sometimes God delivers you from fiery furnace; other times He makes you fireproof.
- Faith holds on to God. Fear holds on to life.
- Suffering happens to the saint, sinner and the Savior. (Redeemer, rebel, and redeemed)
- This faith looks at the healer, not healing.
“When you’re born you’re like a key with no cuts in it. As you go through life, each wound, failure, hurt…cuts into that strip of metal. And one day there is a clear click - your pain has formed the key that slips into the lock and opens your future” TD Jakes
Fear says “what if”. Faith says “even if” - Rich Wilkerson
“Faith doesn’t deny a problem’s existence. It denies a problem a place of influence.” - Bill Johnson
Faith is not absence of doubt, it’s a refusal to abandon your devotion to God just because deliverance didn’t come how and when you expected.

3. Doubt is a struggle faced by the believer. Unbelief is a condition of the unbeliever.
4. Doubt says “I can’t believe, I need more proof”; unbelief says “I wouldn’t believe in spite of evidence.”
5. Doubt is honest; unbelief is stubborn.
6. Doubt is looking for the light; unbelief is content with darkness.
7. Doubt is born out of troubled mind and broken heart, unbelief is an act of will.
Start moving when you’re stuck otherwise you will start to stink.
