Planted, Not Buried
Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. John 12:24
Seed is small. Born in manger. Simple parents. Lived simple life. Didn’t start country or book. Short life. No more than 200 miles.
God is farmer
God gave his seed to dirty soil of humanity
If God would keep him we would be full of thorns.
Seed falls into the ground. Fall into mistreatment.
It dies. Carrying all our sin.
It goes into the ground. Buried.
It looks like a funeral. It was farmer that did the planting.
Jesus’ death and resurrection became the root of Christianity.
What can I learn from Christ? He is my master and my model.
Come and receive rest and learn from me! Power and fellowship!
He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. John 12:25-26
Trust in God’s plan, when it feels like this is part of the devils plot
Trust in plan, not perspective. Farmer, not in feelings. Faith, not in fear. Future, not in funeral. Pain messes our perspective. Suffering stains sight.
What looks like a burial is actually planting.
Farmers perspective is different than one of the seed.
Seed is small. Thrown. Dirt. Darkness. Trampled. Underground.
Prophetic insight gives positive outlook
And removes pessimistic attitude.
Prophecy helps me to see future (destiny)
Pessimism lets me see funeral (death)
Follower the Comforter when all comforts fail.
People failed. Possessions failed.
Comfort brings happiness, Comforter brings joy.
Seed has one advantage over corpse, it has life.
Only people follow to comfort are those who forgot their comforter.
Comforter doesn’t keep is in the comfort,
Comforter doesn’t leave us on the cross.
He leads us to the crown.
Even though cross is the symbol of our faith, it’s an empty grave that is the foundation of Christianity.
Cross dealt with sin, tomb dealt with death
When He died, so did my sin, when He rose, so did my hope
As a Master he suffered for my sin.
As a Model he showed me how to get through suffering.
He send me a Mentor to raise me up after suffering.
It might be Friday in your life but Sunday is coming!
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:14
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11
