STAYING FAITHFUL WHEN IT'S NOT FAIR

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Daniel 1:8

Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. Daniel 1:9

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

Some give out of pressure

Some give out of prompting

Some give out of purposing in their heart

You don't need a prompting to give; give as you purpose in your heart.

God doesn't have to put things on our hearts since He has put a new spirit in us.

Parents don't get mad if kids do their chores without being told.

Make giving a priority. Tithing is giving 10 percent; tipping is giving 20 percent. Tithing is giving; first, tipping is giving last.  Give by percentage.  Tithing was practiced 550 years before the law by Abraham and 500 years by Jacob. Spontaneous should become systematic. This ritual should become a routine.  "The reason we give is because tithing is our way of paying our partner -- God. God is the best business partner that I've ever had. He asks for 10 percent and lets me keep the other 90 percent. You know what happens if you stop paying your partners? They stop working with you. That is why we tithe." Favor flows to those who are faithful in unfair situations.

Don't hinge faithfulness to fairness.

Stay faithful even when you're fearful.

Don't fight for fairness; trust in God's favor.

No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord. Deuteronomy 23:1

Tithing is testing God and God testing us. If we don't fail our test, God will not fail His.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10

The more we give, the more we have.

Naturally, we get skinny by eating vegetables; Daniel got fat by eating vegetables.

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. Proverbs 11:24-25

God wants to bless our work, not our welfare check

God’s blessing is in giving us wisdom, not wealth.

Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. Daniel 1:19

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. Daniel 1:20
