Winds cause waves.
And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. Mark 4:37
Addictions Jesus said, "I tell you most solemnly that anyone who chooses a life of sin is trapped in a dead-end life and is, in fact, a slave. John 8:34 (Message)
Sickness And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. Luke 13:11
Poverty Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered, “It is because of Saul and his bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites.” 2 Samuel 21:1
Accident-prone In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation with Abiram his firstborn, and with his youngest son Segub he set up its gates, according to the word of the Lord, which He had spoken through Joshua the son of Nun. 1 Kings 16:34
Anxiety and depression But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him. 1 Samuel 16:14 /// The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; Isaiah 61:3
Fear For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:17
Wake up desperation.
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39
Born sermons put people to sleep, boring lives put Jesus to sleep.
Desperation precedes deliverance.
When your prayer lacks faith, make sure it doesn’t lack heart.
Dormant people domesticate their demons.
Dormant people worry about dignity more than deliverance.
Dormant people have pretense professional prayers but lack passionate.
Desperation will always get Jesus’ attention!
Wake up your faith.
But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith? Mark 4:40
You woke up Jesus but you should also wake up your faith.
Desperation cries, faith confronts.
Your faith is not dead, its dormant.
Dormant faith complains.
Developed faith confesses.
Dormant faith questions God’s love.
Developed faith quotes God’s love.
Dormant faith replies on someone’s anointing.
Developed faith replies on God given authority in you.
Dormant faith speaks about the problem.
Developed faith speaks to the problem.
Dormant faith creates dominant fears.
Dominant faith creates dormant fears.
To be dominated by faith I must be ruled by God’s word.
To be dominated by fear I must be ruled by feelings.
Walk in authority (upon the waves)
Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. Mark 6:48
Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled. Mark 6:51
Wind ceased when Jesus walked into the boat.
But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. Malachi 4:2
You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 4:3
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19
Whatever God hasn’t removed yet, He has placed under your feet.
If you didn’t stop the wind, the wind will stop if you step on it.
There are time when your faith will stop the wind but there are also time when the wind will stop because you didn’t stop walking on it.
Obsession creates confession.
Now these are the nations which the Lord left, that He might test Israel by them, that is, all who had not known any of the wars in Canaan (this was only so that the generations of the children of Israel might be taught to know war, at least those who had not formerly known it) Judges 3:1-2
Enemies were left to:
- Test their obedience
- Teach them to fight
You are more powerful than you feel when you pursue Jesus in your warfare!
When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. Mark 5:6
Walk in God’s ways even in the time of warfare.
“Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries. Psalm 81:13-14
