This parable of the ten virgins underlines the division between the ready and the unready.
It concludes in v 13 which directly echo 24:42.
Their is a possibility that some so called Christians will be excluded from the kingdom of heaven for Jesus made this known in Matthew 25:11–12 and He echoed it in Matthew 7:21–23;
Jesus also said in Matthew 12:28.
Who do the ten virgins represent?
They represent all who have been invited to be citizens of God’s kingdom—some of whom will indeed enter the kingdom and some of whom will not.
Why were five of the virgins considered wise? Matthew 25:4

the Parable of the Faithful Servant and Wicked Servant (Matthew 24:45–51)
Who does the man going on a journey represent?
Who are the servants that have been entrusted with his possessions?
What does the Master expect from them?
What is the talent in this parable?
When did the man on the journey return?
What will he do when he returns?
What had the first two servants done and what was the master’s response?
In what way did the third servant attack his master’s character?
Why would he have done that?
How did the master respond to this servant?
How can we apply this parable to ourselves?
Are you utilizing the skills, resources and opportunities God has given you?
Do you take advantage of all that God offers to you for the sake of His kingdom? Closing Prayer
