Most people are on social media.
Let’s BE REAL, most people are on multiple platforms of social media and they’re on it way to much.
So it’s either going to be a tool in the hands of the enemy or a tool in our hands to honor God and point people to Him.
We’ve got to have wisdom in a space that so many people can see!
We should display the fruit of the spirit in every thing we do on social media.
Love
In your posts and messages.
The stuff everyone sees and that only certain people see.
Truth is loving, but we must also be kind and gentle and patient!
Joy
Christians should be a people marked by joy.
This doesn’t mean nothing ever bothers us, but we should be marked by joy because our joy is found in the Lord and He is unchanging.
We should let that joy show every where!
Peace
No drama!
Don’t start it or participate in it!
Just seek to stop it!
Don’t post or message in ways that make people feel attacked.
Patience
Undoubtedly you will see things on social media that you disagree with or you think it’s ridiculous.
Have patience with others.
A lot of people feel like social media is a good place for a rant.
I don’t feel like you’re going to accomplish much that way! Display patience in your posting!
Kindness
Treat others well.
Respond kindly to what you see online online and off line.
Goodness
When you post, spend more time drawing attention to these kinds of things.
Have posts the encourage and highlight goodness and give joy.
Faithfulness
Be faithful in every part and area of your life to God.
Be consistent.
Be true.
Gentleness
Don’t bully or belittle people, even if they are wrong.
Self-Control
In what you post, click, tap, read, and watch, have self-control!
These are the things that we should go towards on social media.
The things that we should put out there.
In verses 19-21 Paul talks about what we should stay away from.
read verses 19-21
It’s a tool.
What will we use the tool for?
We should remember what Paul said as we think about how we use social media.
