Corrupted From the Simplicity in the Christ, 2 Corinthians 11:1-3

Bearing with what he is saying for a bit longer, 2 Corinthians 11:1
2 Corinthians 11:1
I would that you should tolerate from me a little in foolishness, but also you are tolerating of me.
Paul has a zeal for them, having betrothed them to Christ, 2 Corinthians 11:2
2 Corinthians 11:2
For I am zealous of you with zeal from God. For I betrothed you with one husband, a pure virgin to present to the Christ.
Paul’s concern about them being deceived and ruined, 2 Corinthians 11:3

But I fear somehow as the serpent thoroughly deceived Eve in his craftiness, thus he will corrupt the working of your minds from the simplicity, the [simplicity] in the Christ.
Eve was thoroughly deceived by the serpent, 1 Timothy 2:14

And Adam was not deceived (ἠπατήθη), but the woman being thoroughly deceived (ἐξαπατηθεῖσα), fell into transgression.
She Transgressed the Law
The serpent first introduces a question concerning what she can eat, Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
In reply, she brings in the tree they are not to eat from, Genesis 3:2-3

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
The serpent speaks against the truth, while using some truth to mask the lie, Genesis 3:4-5

Being thoroughly deceive today
Through empty words, Ephesians 5:6

The one thinking he is religious but not bridling the tongue, James 1:26

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
The sin nature using law, Romans 7:11

Corrupting the workings of the mind, 2 Corinthians 11:3

They seek to corrupt, bring to ruin, the workings of the mind

Satan blinds the minds of the unbelievers to the gospel, 2 Corinthians 4:4

We are to bring every thought (working of the mind) into captivity to obedience to the Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5

God’s peace will guard the workings of our minds, Philippians 4:7

Corruption relates to the old man - who we were before salvation
The old man is corrupted according to deceitful desires, Ephesians 4:22

The simplicity of the Christ
The Christ is a new creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Both Jew and Gentile are equal in the Christ, Colossians 3:11

Neither circumcision or uncircumcision avails, bu the new creation, Galatians 6:15

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

How They Corrupt, 2 Corinthians 11:4

For if the one coming proclaims another Jesus, which we did not proclaim, or you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different gospel which you did not accept, you yourselves tolerate well.
Proclaiming Another of the same kind Jesus

Deception through false prophecy

Accepting Jesus into your heart
