Telos-No matter what we face, He will be with us, and has made us something more than what we are going through.

God has Big Plans

2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV
So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”
1 Timothy 1:18 NKJV
This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,
1 Timothy 1:18 AMP
This charge and admonition I commit in trust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with prophetic intimations which I formerly received concerning you, so that inspired and aided by them you may wage the good warfare,
1 Timothy 1:19 AMP
Holding fast to faith (that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence) and having a good (clear) conscience. By rejecting and thrusting from them [their conscience], some individuals have made shipwreck of their faith.

Prophecy is insight into God’s Strategy

The primary purpose of the Old Testament prophet was to lead and guide Israel through the Word of the LORD and, in fact, a lot of their words became Holy Scripture and are included in what we know today as the Old Testament.
The original Greek word for ‘encourage’ in this passage means “to cause to move forward.” In other words, a prophetic word will inspire believers and provoke them to go forward and fulfill God’s call on their lives.

Do we need a prophet or prophetic word to assure us of our future?

Are we wanting to know God’s plan, or our own security and outcome?

Proverbs 3:5–6 NKJV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

FACT CHECK:

Jeremiah 5:31 NKJV
The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?
Matthew 24:11 NKJV
Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
Matthew 24:12–13 TPT
There will be such an increase of sin and lawlessness that those whose hearts once burned with passion for God and others will grow cold. But keep your hope to the end and you will experience life and deliverance.
Matthew 24:22 GW
If God does not reduce the number of those days, no one will be saved. But those days will be reduced because of those whom God has chosen.

God is calling us to release our faith in His Word!

2 Peter 1:19 NKJV
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
Confirmed=
1. Something that can be relied on not to cause disappointment, reliable.
2. To have continuity or being unwavering and persistent.
3. To have validity by keeping in force.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Romans 4:17 NKJV
(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
I HAVE MADE YOU! NOT, I WILL MAKE YOU!
You are not what you are going through! You are what is in you!
