I Lose my wallet ALL THE TIME, Jesus rejoices when we are found.

When we are found we truly see the extent to which God loves us

Romans 3:21–26 CSB

21 But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, attested by the Law and the Prophets. 22 The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction. 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; 24 they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. 25 God presented him as the mercy seat by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his restraint God passed over the sins previously committed. 26 God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.

Point 1 - The Righteousness of God

Righteousness comes from the cross of Christ and nothing else

We look for righteousness in being a good person

Going to church

Knowing a few bible verses

True righteousness is in the cross and nothing else

Point 2 - Faith

Justified here means that we are declared righteous by Christ’s sacrifice.

Jesus going to the cross. He was a man who had to have faith in the purpose that God had for him. He could have turned away at any point, denounced God and all of us sinners, but he didn’t. He loved you.

Are you living your life with that same faith?

When trials come do you cower away or do you have faith in what God is doing.

We become Justified when we put faith in God, like Jesus did on the cross.

Ultimate Sacrifice

In verse 25, we see God is the ultimate sacrifice

In the old testament there were people who sacrificed animals in order to find salvation and righteousness through God, but it couldn’t pay the ultimate price

Only Jesus can give you true salvation and true righteousness

Conclusion

If you are lost today, know that Jesus will rejoice to see you found and bring you true righteousness and fulfillment

All you have to do is put your trust in Christ and the cross.

That is what sets Christianity apart from other religions
