In what ways were you dead before Christ as stated in verses 4-5? Or are you still dead?
What does it mean to be united with Christ?

(Vs 1&2) Death- the Unnatural divorce of the immaterial soul and the physical body, resulting from the separation between God and humanity brought about by sin
unnatural because we were made to live with God in harmony in the Garden of Eden forever
Genesis 2:15 CSB
The Lord God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to work it and watch over it.
(vs 3) we all sin, therefore, no one is better than the next
Romans 3:23 CSB
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;
(vs 6) Heavenly Realms- live with God forever and joined into his royal family
1 Peter 5:4 CSB
And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
(vs 6 & 7) united with Christ- process which the redeemed are rescued out of life marked by opposition to God and drown into life defined instead by reconciliation with Him
