The Sovereignty of God and Gods Wrath

1 Kings 19:17 NASB95

“It shall come about, the one who escapes from the sword of Hazael, Jehu shall put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu, Elisha shall put to death.

Predestination - Is the theology that God knows His ways and has complete sovereignty over His ways. Its the divine nature of God to ordain what will happen in salvation.

Ephesians 1:11

God plans his will out even before we knew what his purpose was.

His own purposes serve to glorify God even if the day was wicked, God uses wicked people to prove his power and authority.

Biblical example of this authority and false gods, this false hope we all carry.

43 He said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked and said, “There is nothing.” And he said, “Go back” seven times.

44 It came about at the seventh time, that he said, “Behold, a cloud as small as a man’s hand is coming up from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, so that the heavy shower does not stop you.’ ”

45 In a little while the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy shower. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.

46 Then the hand of the LORD was on Elijah, and he girded up his loins and outran Ahab to Jezreel.

What is the gospel response and how does this apply to Jesus, why do we need a savior?
