ABUNDANCE FOR EVERY GOOD WORK

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV) — 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV) — 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Although this scripture is primarily referring to financial giving, i.e the Corinthians making a special offering to the People of Macedonia, this Scripture could apply to other things

Paul speaks about the willingness of the Corinthians to give, to the extent that Paul was boasting about the Corinthians preparedness to give

2 Corinthians 9:2 (NIV) — 2 For I know your eagerness to help, and I have been boasting about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year you in Achaia were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action.

Just as the Corinthians had a willingness to give of their financial resources, we as Pastors and leaders have a willingness to give of so many other resources as we minister to Gods people

What we give includes money just like the Corinthians did, but I am sure that we give so much more

Pastors and leaders give time, energy, sweat, resources, blood and some times our very lives as we minister in so many different ways to the people of God

Paul uses words that have the same origin, e.g grace, bless etc which speak of God’s ability to bless his people so that they abound in good works.

Paul says “And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance”

The purpose of God’s blessing is then spelt out:

so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work

Our sufficiency is not our self sufficiency but the sufficiency provided by God’s grace

, And so we are not dependent on others, but on God

And God is able to make all grace abound to you

In ALL all things (material, financial, mental, physical, economical, and spiritual)

At ALL times

Having ALL that we need

So that we abound in EVERY good work

The Scripture clearly states that God is able to do ALL these things that have been listed and even more

In the uncertainty of life, and in its unpredictability, God is able, to cause all grace , to cause all blessing to us as we Minister

God is able to cause our Churches to abound

In ALL things

At ALL times

In EVERY god work
