Day 3
Genesis 7-9
Key Verse (s) From Today’s Reading
Gen 7:1
Then the Lord said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time.
This is so important to understand that we may the only righteous people to stand in the midst of a perverse generation. God will honor that as He sees Christ righteousness in us.
Gen 7:16
Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the Lord closed it behind him.
We see here a couple very important principles:
God’s plan of redemption secures our salvation in Christ
He mercifully keeps the door open until the last moment
He shuts us in and seals our redemption in Christ
Gen 8:1
But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.
God REMEMBERED Noah and all the others. Although God may be silent for extended periods of time, He will never leave or forget us.
Gen 9:8-9
Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, “Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you;
The Covenant of God with man is dependent only on God. we have nothing to offer in the agreement other then obedience.
Thoughts From Reading
We can see from the very beginning, before the beginning, that God’s plan of redemption would be carried out through His grace and mercy and that it would involve the obedience of man.
Our Father in heaven takes an active role in each of our lives and plots out a course for us to follow. He requires obedience and worship as we live out before Him.
He establishes His Covenant based on His nature and His Character. He brings us into that covenant and provides the way of salivation back to Him through Christ.
Personal Application
God has entered into covenant with us through His Son and through that covenant made payment back to Himself through Christ shed blood. We can walk daily in this covenant relationship and rest in His grace.

Prayer
Father, I lift this day to you. I thank you for Covenant. I ask for you to open our eyes to truly understand what this covenant relationship is and then enable us to walk in it.I pray today for the Cheswick church and ask for your guidance and direction, Give the leaders there the wisdom to carry out your plans and purposes. Show me where I fit. Open the doors to bring in lost souls that they may come to know you. I pray also today for your plans to come to pass at this next election. Father, please raise up righteous leaders for these last days to enable the Body of Christ to have more time to share the Gospel.
