Song: Goodness of God (Chorus)
Prayer
Hello everyone!
I want to say that I really appreciate all of you who view our livestream or the video of the livestreams on YouTube and on Facebook.
Wednesday night are currently ONLY on Facebook,
I am sorry to tell you that we will not be livestreaming today due to having a missionary to a sensitive nation in our service.
But, let me do this.
Let me read a passage of scripture and tell you about something that happened yesterday.
Psalm 139:1–6 (NASB95) O LORD, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. 3 You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all.
5 You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
God knows our paths.
This was shown yesterday when I had lunch with Rick Wilcox.
Rick and I get together and talk about the goodness of God and the challenges that the church, especially New Life faces in these closing moments of time.
Specifically we were talking about reaching our society.
A society that is far from God.
We had been speaking for about 45 minutes when a young man named Lucas turned and started engaging us in conversation.
Raised in a Southern Baptist church, he an understanding of some of the fundamentals of the Bible and Christianity.
