GOD IS OUR HIDING PLACE
GOD IS OUR HIDING PLACE
INTRODUCTION:
WE ARE OFTEN FACING DANGER, BUT GOD IS OUR HIDING PLACE THAT WE CAN FIND REFUGE IN. GOD IS OUR VERY PRESENT HELP IN A TIME OF TROUBLE.
IF WE CAN LEARN TO TURN TO GOD BEFORE TROUBLE COME OUR WAY HE WILL GIVE US THE WISDOM TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES.
THE PSALMIST EXPRESSES A DESIRE TO FLEE TO THE HILLS WERE HE CAN FIND REFUGE, BUT HIS SIGHTS WAS MORE ON WHO CREATED THE HILLS.
I LIKE TO TALK ABOUT
THE LORD WILL SHELTER YOU.
THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU.
THE LORD WILL WATCH OVER YOU.
A. THE LORD WILL SHELTER YOU.
PSALM 121:1-2 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, Which made heaven and earth.” T
THE LORD WILL SHELTER YOU WHEN THE ENEMY IS OUT TO KILL YOU.
THE LORD WILL SET PERIMETERS AROUND YOU SO THAT THE ENEMY MUST CONSULT HIM BEFORE HE GO FORTH.
THE ENEMY CANNOT TOUCH YOU UNLESS GOD PERMITS IT.
THE LORD WILL PROVIDE YOU SECURITY AND PROTECTION, AND WILL SHIELD YOU FROM THE ENEMIES ATTACKS.
THE LORD WILL COVER YOU, HE WILL HIDE YOU AND SHELTER YOU IN HIS LOVING ARMS.
CAN YOU EVER THINK OF A TIME WHEN GOD STOP YOU FROM GOING SOME WHERE ONLY TO FIND OUT LATER THAT TRAGEDY HAPPEN WHERE YOU WAS GOING.
IT WAS ONLY THE LORD WHO WAS SHELTERING YOU FROM ALL HURT HARM AND DANGER.
THE PSALMIST FOUND HIMSELF IN THE SAME SCENARIO, HE WAS PONDERING HIS NEXT MOVE, MEANING HE THOUGHT IT OUT CAREFULLY AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT HIS HELP COMES FROM THE LORD.
WE MUST UNDERSTAND IN OUR WALK WITH THE LORD HE IS THE ONLY ONE WE SHOULD TURN TO , TO FIND SHELTER.
THE HILLS WAS A PLACE OF ESCAPE AND STABILITY, BUT THE PSALMIST DID NOT DEPEND ON THE HILLS FOR SHELTER, BUT THE PSALMIST DEPENDED ON THE LORD WHO CREATED THE HILLS .
PSALM 124:8 “Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.”
B. THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU.
PSALM 121:3-5 “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.”
THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU, THE LORD WILL NOT ALLOW THE ENEMY TO OVERTAKE YOU. HE WILL MAKE YOUR ENEMY BE YOUR FOOT STOOL, THE LORD WILL ALLOW YOU TO STAND THROUGH THE STORMS OF LIFE, AND WATCH THEM PASS BY YOU.
THE BIBLE SAYS A THOUSAND SHALL FALL AT THY SIDE, AND TEN THOUSAND AT THY RIGHT HAND, BUT IT SHALL NOT COME NIGH THEE.
NOT ONLY WILL THE LORD KEEP US, BUT HE IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR US.
THE LORD IS BESIDE US SO THAT WE DON’T HAVE TO ENGAGE IN THIS BATTLE BY OURSELVES.
THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU THROUGH YOUR BELIEVING , SO THAT YOU WILL NOT FALL TO THE TACTICS OF THE ENEMY.
1 SAMUEL 2:9 “He will keep the feet of his saints, And the wicked shall be silent in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail.”
C. THE LORD WILL WATCH OVER YOU.
PSALM 121:6-8 “The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in From this time forth, and even for evermore.”
THE LORD WILL TAKE CARE OF US, AND HE WILL PROVIDE FOR US NO MATTER WHAT WE MAY GO THROUGH IN LIFE.
NOTHING WILL PREVENT THE GRACE THAT GOD HAS FOR EACH AND EVERYONE OF US. BECAUSE HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE:FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS.
MEANING THAT SALVATION WAS EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED AND THE GRACE THAT GOD HAS GIVING TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF US IS ENOUGH TO COVER OUR IMPERFECTIONS.
THE LORD WILL WATCH OVER US BY PROTECTING US, HE WILL MAKE SURE THAT HIS CHILDREN IS SAFE.
HE ALSO COMFORT US, WHEN WE FEEL ALL ALONE , HIS PRESENCE IS WITH US.
HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKEN YOU. HE WILL BLESS THY GOING OUT AND THY COMING IN FROM THIS TIME FORTH, AND EVEN FOR EVERMORE, BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU.
DEUTERONOMY 28:6-7 “Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.”
