Introduction
This Book has influenced Church history especially the protestant reformation more than almost any other book And it is very applicable today.
Galatians 1:1-5

Even though he was not a disciple of Jesus.
Jesus commissioned Paul when he came to him on the road to Damascus.
To the Churches in Galatia.
Which were churches that Paul established or visited on his mission trips.
This is an introduction and he is beginning this letter with a nearly standard formula for Christian greetings at the time.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Then Paul adds a statement that is the focus of today

God gave the Messiah Jesus to Die on the Cross to Save us from this Present Evil Age.
Evil Age?
Does this mean that Devil is in control?
Does this mean that God doesn’t have dominion over this age?
Like God is some distant figure, Or a being in heaven sitting on his throne with no power.
Of course not.
God is in control.
Jesus is the King of Kings upon his thrown and is over the world and had dominion over all.
The creator rules over his creation.
But 2 Corinthians 4:4
Does tell us that Satan is the god of this world or age.
Meaning he is the major influence on the mind-set expressed by the ideals, opinions, goals, hopes and views of the majority of people.
He influences philosophies, Education, Commerce, Religions.
Have sprung up from his lies.
There is a Trinity of Evil found in scriptures
Flesh
Which is our own selfish and evil inclinations and desires
Which are from our fallen selves as we have sin born with us
It is in our genes
World
Which is the ideas, customs, desires, and people that have rejected or cursed God
Refused to come under his kingdom
Or are not in line with his teachings
And Satan
Who rules over the world with his angels
Those angels who rebelled against God and followed Lucifer’s lead
This present Evil age
We are speaking about the World in which God has allowed Satan to rule over and influence.
Which will be the majority as the way is straight and narrow but wide is the way that leads to destruction.
But We have been Rescued.
Not that we are being removed from but delivered out of and from the power of.
Like Abraham Lincoln in his Emancipation proclamation given January 1 1863.
All persons held as slaves within any State or designated part of a State, the People whereof shall then be in rebellion against the United States, shall then, thenceforward, and forever free
In this great speech by Abraham Lincoln freed the salves in these United States, well it was declaring freedom for those slaves not under union control but that is another story.
but it set us on a course to rescue them from their imprisonment and out from under the power of their masters.
Yet he did not removed them from the United States and place them in another nation or reservation.
We too Have been freed from our master the god of this age.
From this evil age.
You are no longer under the rule of Satan
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
You are not a slave to your sin, the World and its master Satan
You are under the Authority of God the Father through the Blood of Jesus Christ enabled by the Holy Spirit
However if You have not believed and humbled yourself before God accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
Then you are under the rule of Satan You are in bondage to Him
Praise God for his rescue for his deliverance of us from this present evil age
Have you been delivered?
Are you living like it?
