The fact of being rejected must be taken seriously by all Christians. It is vital that we acknowledge our fear of rejection. That is the only way we can begin to overcome it. As Christians, we must overcome it because the Lord does not permit secret disciples. This passage shows that Jesus Himself first experienced rejection.
