God wants you to now the truth.
God does NOT want you living life in the dark...
In the dark regarding His existence...
In the dark regarding His Word...
In the dark regarding His plan...
In the dark regarding His thoughts...
God want you to know HIS truth.
But before we can know His truth, we must choose two different things
We must be open to RECEIVING God’s truth.
We need to understand that God’s way… WILL NOT BE THE SAME as the ways of the world.
Many people in the world are trying to live life OUTSIDE of God’s truth meaning… they are unaware of His truth.
They are unwilling to apply His truth to life.
The world will try to pull you in its direction.
Our secular culture will not understand why a person would choose to listen to the Bible.
Secondly, we must be open to LIVING in God’s truth.
Living His truth must come with knowing His truth.
One cannot live it without knowing it.
But one cannot claim it without living it.
We know the truth that if you put your hand in a fire, you will get burned.
We live that truth by choosing not to place our hands in fire!
That truth becomes alive to us as we remain without injury or burns.
But if we know the truth and do it anyway, we will suffer the consequences that come with our actions.
Fair or unfair… when you get too close to fire… you will get burned!
Tonight we are going to watch a video that talks about finding truth.
I love how the material is presented and the Word that is given.

Reflection Questions
What makes believing the Bible hard for people?
At the end of the day, we all have the tendency to believe what we can see.
It’s much easier to live a life based on what we can touch, feel, and see—it’s comfortable and doesn’t bring any fear.
But God says that he didn’t give us a spirit of fear, and he created us to be strong and to reflect him.
Francis talked about how God loved us even while we were at our worst and still sent Jesus to the cross.
Christ’s death and resurrection are the reasons we are free from sin, walking with a purpose, and filled with the Spirit.
No matter what kind of difficulties we go through, we know that God has a plan for our lives.
How might that help you understand your true identity?
God knows who you are.
God has planned in advance for you.
God has amazing things in store for you.
Knowing that God has a plan for your life means you know that God has not overlooked you, but rather it means God cares about you and wants to lead you with His truth.
You are not a product of random chance or the forces of this world… You are a purposed creation who was given life by God Himself.
Its His breath in your lungs…
How does Jesus’ death on the cross define who we are?
That we are not defined by our sin or our actions… rather we are defined by His love.
In His eyes, a person NEVER reaches the status of unlovable.
There is nothing a person can do that will cause God to stop loving you.
The world makes a habit of identifying a person by their actions.
In Christ we are defined by the One that we serve - as His sons and daughters.
We ARE a part of His family.
It might feel safe to believe the opinions of your favorite celebrity (especially when they sounds good), but more often than not, people’s opinions change when culture, laws, and trends change.
At any given moment, people can switch it up and call something true that they once believed was a lie.
But the thing about God’s word is that it never changes.
It remains truthful and good for the soul no matter the time.
Verse 3 reminds us of something important… we will never have all the answers, and the moment we begin to think that is the moment we close ourselves off from God’s truth.
We need to always be humble and always be learning.
God has great things to teach us… so long as we remain open to receive from Him.
