Vs. 19 - The Lord Remembered Hannah.
Question - Does God Almighty have a bad memory?
“Remembered” is a soteriological verb when used with the Lord as the subject and suggests the initiation of a major new activity by the covenant-making God (cf.
Gen 8:1; Exod 2:24; cf. also Gen 19:29; 30:22).
In most miracles touching human lives, the Lord chooses to achieve his desired ends with the assistance of people.
Certainly this was true in Hannah’s case.
Gen. 8:1 “Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark.
And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.”
Exodus 2:24 “So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.”
Gen. 19:29 “And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt.”
Gen. 30:22 “Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.”
“God Remembers” means that God shows up with salvation that saves to the uttermost and proves once again that He is God and that nothing is too difficult for Him.

Hannah’s Prayer
2:1-11

She smiles at her enemies - reminds us of David - God sets a table for him in the presence of his enemies.

Your Salvation - the word salvation here means - deliverance or it can even mean to avenge your enemy - to have victory.

vs. 2 - The holiness of God - No one like Him.
vs. 3 - This speaks to God’s attributes and His sovereignty.

vs. 5- God has brought Shalom.
