the one who was supposed to be the great seer and sorcerer and giver of blessings and curses

the one who believed himself to be the divine and mystical and mysterious and all powerful

he is brought low before God, reduced to simply a mouthpiece

understanding what “God” truly means

an image of God seemingly randomly thrown in the midst of the story with none of the regular characters

God works and speaks and blesses and curses

his creation is his to love and his to demonstrate through and no one else’s

we often try to act like we can hold God in our hand rather than recognize that he is God

we pray for our wants and whims and we get upset when things don’t go our way as if any of that is what the God who created is really concerned with

he wants you to have life and life eternally with him

he wants that and others having that to be your focus

everything else is me wanting more for myself, trying to take God’s place, or hold his power in my hands somehow
