Mark 9:2-13/ Out of place. don’t belong here. Doesn’t feel right. Good right up until that moment. Over my head. Awkward moments.

In the time since we met last: Another large group fed, healed countless, confronted religious, healed blind man spitting in dirt. Get creative in your effort of connecting people with Christ.

In our context, I would present that people are so over churched and under hoped that we’ve got to do everything in our power and creativity to be for them what they need to help them see and realize that the Power of God still works for them.

death is pending ch.8:31 // Mark gets specific- 6 days // ⅔ witnesses- become the inner 3
The ones who rise to the top are always the most eager to be involved. If you lead from arms length, don’t be surprised if you’re never noticed for anything more than just mundane. Stand out a bit! Take some risk. Demonstrate elements of ability to improve the whole instead of just yourself!

you will get out of life what you demand from it.

It’s not into the delay of waiting that Faith filled steps are formed, although there is a lot of waiting on the Lord for things, but you’re going to experience from him what you aggressively take hold of.

Mt 11:12-

Think through some of the stories we’ve interacted with recently.
Mark 5 and the women with blood.
Jarius in the same story, forcing himself into the pathway of Jesus among all the crowd and asking, demanding that he come.
How about Mark 7, and the woman demanding that Jesus heal her daughter.
Peter’s Unashamed, nervous response. Once in a lifetime moment
you don’t get to have your own Transfiguration moment. Revealed one time and that was enough

If you can’t believe in the Glory of Jesus that was revealed once, that you won’t believe if he’s revealed again.

same principle that we hear about with a story from Lk16:27-31
We can either believe what someone else has testified to, or we simply won’t believe. It has to be enough.
So what are you waiting for?

<<KEYS BEGINNING>>

John went on to document this a bit further in one of his letters.

1 John 1:1-10

I want to challenge you today, to prayerfully approach the Lord asking him to remind you of his splendor. To help you remember the awesome majesty of his work and word.
Typically, for some reason, we end up spending so much of our pursuit of the Lord fixated on what he can do for us.
God I need to see you just as you are, rather than the way I want to envision you.
