WE MUST HAVE SITUATIONS THAT STRESS OUR FAITH

WE PRAY PRAYERS OF PATHETIC GENERALITIES BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT TO BE ACCUSED OF NOT PRAYING BUT WE DON’T ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE WE NEED GOD FOR THE INCREDIBLY LARGE.
EXAMPLES – GOD WE PRAY FOR LOVE FOR THE WORLD. WE PRAY FOR WORLD PEACE.

THERE ARE TWO THINGS WE GET WRONG ABOUT PRAYER.
WE BELIEVE THAT PRAYER IS A LEVER WE PULL.
WE BELIEVE THAT WE CAN AND SHOULD ONLY PRAY ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE HOLY, THE REST IS UP TO US.

THIS STORY AND BUSINESS– SO MUCH OF OUR LIVES
1 TIM 6:10 The love of money causes all kinds of trouble. Some people want money so much they have given up their faith and caused themselves a lot of pain.
can have a love of problem and have no money. Can be billionaire and not have a love of problem at all.
Quantity is not the issue.
We’ve misinterpreted this for far too long and have reduced God to a mentality that teaches that we should have enough just to get by and that should be enough. But i vehemently disagree. Especially after reading this story.

Look at the perspective of this story. “Borrow vessels from your neighbors, not too few.”
In other words, that miraculous oil was going to flow as long as their were vessels to fill. When there were not more vessel, the oil stopped flowing.
And then look at the perspective of Elisha on what to do. Sell the oil, pay the creditor, and then LIVE ON THE REST.
“If she borrowed few vessels, she would have but little oil; if she borrowed many vessels they should all be filled, and she should have much oil. She was herself to measure out what she should have; and I believe that you and I, in the matter of spiritual blessings from God, have more to do with the measurement of our mercies than we think. WE MAKE OUR BLESSINGS LITTLE, BECAUSE OUR PRAYERS ARE LITTLE.” (Spurgeon)

WE’VE GOT TO STOP WASTING TIME DISTRACTING OURSELVES FROM OUR PROBLEMS, HOPING WAITING FOR GOD TO BAIL US OUT AND LOOK AT WHAT WE DO HAVE AND ASK GOD TO BLESS IT WITH CREATIVE SOLUTIONS TO PROVIDE FOR OUR FUTURES.
The Wonder Working Power of God is available to you. You need only ask and then be open minded with the way he directs you to respond.
