HOMEWORK- write about the goodness of God
What about your life would change if you focused more on the Lord as the filter of your life rather than the stuff you’re going through?

Camping- The goodness of God is not preventing things from your life, but showing you his presence through the things you face.

If he prevented everything from you, eventually you would declare that by your own cunningness you were self sufficient.
The goodness of God is everywhere around you and it’s because of Him that you are sustained.
What you are facing, celebrating, worried about today is resolvable through God and his goodness.
Do not make catastrophic changes and decisions to your life today to fix what you are facing before you run to the Lord and ask him direction.
You never know what he might have in place that he wants to work on and you end up having to do nothing.
You have a God story and you owe it to the people around you to teach/ to disseminate something of that story to people so they can see where God was at work, what he did and how you navigated through it.

He’s literally sending a message to all of us who are going to read this passage from here on out that God wanted you to know his glory. He wanted you to know the vastness of his ability with a simple gaze at the night sky.

The Law of the Lord Is Perfect (This is his bottom line. This is the place we are going to arrive at after having received this text message from the Lord through David) // To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. (it notes who it came from and its purpose)
Few resolve to thinking about the law of the Lord being perfect.
That’s not where we tend to spend our time and energy. Law’s don’t tend to leave us feeling/thinking of

Anytime we look at the Son, things have to change. Anytime we stare at the Son, I immediately recognize my own imperfections. It’s part of the reason we don’t really want to look at the Son! When we see Jesus, we can’t see anything but his glory and honor and majesty, holiness and love, kindness and affection. When you line up something so good, we immediately see all the terribleness of our own personality
