Staff Interview: Alisha / Katrina
What’s your role here at Ship?
Why do you choose to be such an integral part of this ministry?
Why are you so passionate about that role?
What volunteering positions are you looking to fill within that area right now?
The love of God extends beyond all borders, beyond all colors and through all the tensions of humanity.
God is a missionary God and His Son was the first One Sent.
In the very beginning of the bible, you see the dynamic love and power of God as he extends his love through the tensions of sin introduced into the world as he seeks to rectify a global pandemic of destruction.
Did you know Mission evangelism is introduced in Genesis 3?

Genesis 3:15NIV- I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers;

he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

This is the very first element of the problem of sin and the scope of the missions work that God would eventually introduce to the world.
You can further see the heart of God through missions in Genesis 12-

GE 12:1-3NIV Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

MT24:14NIV- this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Acts 1:8NIV- you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

every churches prerogative, obligation, opportunity to be involved in the global movement of the gospel of Christ.
What we do as a denomination- Portions of our apportionment go to global evangelism
Part 3 of our 12:24 vision. What’s our 12:24 vision?

John 12:24 NIV- unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

Southeast Asia // Grand Point #3 // The group of ladies that gathers to pray for us
Can’t know the love of Christ until your stomach is full
South/Central America
Acts 8- The persecution of the church.
You see we look at difficulty and suffering and persecution as a season or a situation of frustration, why God are you allowing this to happen? Why are you doing this?
We look at it as a direct attack on us personally, but it's never is!

the presence of suffering does not mean the frustration of God in my direction! The presence of suffering is an opportunity for us to demonstrate the goodness of to a people who may never have seen it before!

so what can we do? What can be done? I think three simple things:
pray, give, go.

the moment that we coming to a saving Faith Christ, The Gospel needs to move on to someone else.

we spend far too many moments worried about if we're doing it right or if we've got it all together for if we have the full understanding when there is a whole world out there that just needs to know that Jesus died on the cross for them.

Do you know and understand that literally half the world's population lives in an area where it is illegal to serve and worship Christ!?
